Drainage

Agha Engineering performed a drainage impact analysis for the 52-acres site West Little York development located in MUD No. 370, Harris County, Texas. Agha Engineering performed a SWMM analysis to design a pumped detention basin and outfall structure for the proposed development.

This included verifying existing and proposed storm sewer capacity leading to HCFCD W-167-01-00 and demonstrating no impact caused by the development. The proposed development will convert the current light industrial project site into a commercial warehouse complex to the north and Cy-Fair Fire Station towards the south along West Little York.

The proposed detention pond will be located towards the northwest corner of the property and will be equipped with a pump and designed per Harris County’s 50% pump pond design criteria. The pond will be designed at a storage rate of 1.10 acre-ft per acre to account for a 3-day drainage time.
