AEL performed a floodplain impact analysis along Little Oak Bayou to analyze impacts associated with roadway and bridge/culvert improvements along with NHHIP segments 2. This included a summary of the roadway impact mitigation, fill mitigation, and floodplain impact mitigation. The Proposed improvements included seven detention basins, channel improvements, and diversions channels. AEL designed the pond geometry and drafted the detention pond layouts and cross-sections. Majed and Juan utilized their expertise in GIS, HEC-RAS, and OpenRoads to optimize the conceptual design and conduct the analysis on time, within the project budget.
