SH 242 PUMP STATION

Agha Engineering LLC (AEL) is serving as the Task Lead for the design of a roadway pump station to drain a proposed stormwater basin into a nearby shallow ditch. AEL's design approach included multiple pump sizing iterations to optimize the balance between pump capacity and stormwater storage within the corridor.

To support the client’s project goals and budget, AEL developed several schematic alternatives for the pump station. These alternatives reduced right-of-way (ROW) requirements by avoiding the need to oversize the detention basin, instead of using a higher-capacity pump configuration.
